The code arrives by SMS within a few seconds. If it doesn't, check that the number you entered includes the country code (e.g. +1 for the US), and that your phone has signal. Codes expire after 60 seconds — you can request a fresh one from the same screen. Carrier filters sometimes block app sign-in codes; switching from Wi-Fi to cellular often resolves it.
Both of you need to be members of the same circle. Open the Circles tab to confirm. If the circle is there but the phrase isn't, pull down to refresh. The phrase rotates at midnight local time by default.
To block: in any circle, tap the small "···" next to the person's name, then choose Block. To unblock: Settings → Privacy → Blocked people → Unblock next to their name.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they're cancelled in iOS Settings — not in itsme:
Settings → Apple ID (your name at the top) → Subscriptions → itsme → Cancel Subscription.
You'll keep Premium access until your current period ends.
It's a discreet way to tell your trusted circle that you may not be safe — for example, if someone is forcing you to verify a phrase. It sends a quiet notification, with no alarms, no sirens, and no automatic emergency-services contact. It's a private signal between humans who care about you. If you ever need actual emergency help, dial 911 first.
Settings → Privacy → Delete my account. You'll be asked to type "delete" to confirm. Once confirmed, your profile, photo, circles you created, memberships, verification history, and push tokens are removed within a few seconds.
Settings → Privacy → Download my data. Everything itsme has about you appears as JSON you can long-press to copy.
No — and that's deliberate. AI voice detection is unreliable and getting harder, not easier, as cloning technology improves. itsme works differently: we give you something an AI can't reproduce — a fresh phrase your family agreed to today.
It's how we know you're a real human and how we identify your account across devices. Phone numbers are stored hashed (we can't read them in plain text), used only for sign-in, and never shown publicly.
Email tobypenk@gmail.com and we'll get back to you within a day. Include your phone number if you want us to look at your account.
